Earl Simmons (December 18, 1970 from December 18, 1970 until April 9, 2021) was known as DMX, was an American actor and rapper. His debut album , It's Dark and hot was launched in 1998. The rapper began to rap in the 1990s. 251,000 copies of the album were sold during its first week. In 1999, DMX released... and then There Was X. The album included the hit song "Party up (Up in Here). His singles "Where the Hood At?" and "X Gon' Give It to Ya?" in 2003 were also commercial hits. and "X Going to Give It To Ya" were also commercially successful. He was also the first artist to make it to No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart five consecutive times. Seven times in all, DMX sold over 74 million albums worldwide. 8. DMX has been featured in movies such as Belly Romeo Must Die (with Exit Wounds), Belly, Romeo Must Die (with Belly), Cradle 2 the Grave (with Cradle 2 the Grave) and Last Hour. He starred in the 2006 reality television series DMX. Soul of a Man. It was primarily aired by the BET cable channel Never Die Alone. In 2003, he wrote an autobiography called E.A.R.L. : The Autobiography of DMX. 9. DMX began his career in the music industry when he was 14 in 1984 when he beatboxed for Ready Ron. After serving time for the theft of an animal, he began to compose lyrics of his own. He also played at the local recreation center for children under age 14. While in prison for carjacking he started dedicating nearly all of his time creating lyrics. He also met and performed with K-Solo. He started selling mixtapes were made and sold when he was released from prison for carjacking. It helped him to build his fan base within New York. DMX was a guest on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show in 1991 along with Percee P who they both freestyled. [15The 15 DMX would release the demo tape later in the year that featured "Spellbound" and "Critical Condition" Three Little Pigs "The Original Author of Spellbound" and "Unstoppable force". It was very like Big Daddy Kane or Rakim however it was not his later material. In 1991, The Source magazine praised DMX for his Unsigned Hype column, which featured hip hop artists that were not signed. [16] That same year, Columbia Records signed DMX to its subsidiary label Ruffhouse Records, which released the debut single "Born Loser". 17 years later, he released his second single "Make an Effort" in the year 1994. He was a guest together with Jay-Z, Ja Rule, and Mic Geronimo, on the legendary underground track "Time to Build" on Mic Geronimo's debut album 1995.DMX passed away on April 9 2021, after a cocaine-induced heart attack.
